About Us

In 2016, Juan Smith and Ben Buttfield founded "The Southern Men's Group" in Port Willunga. We created a safe space for men to meet, share experiences, and support each other in personal growth for themselves, their families, and the community. Our group quickly grew to over 60 members.

Inspired by the TASMen Gathering in 2019, we established the annual "Southern Men's Gathering" in South Australia, open to all men. This birthed the Southern Men's Association as a non-profit organization. Our annual gatherings have seen great success, with over 50 men attending in 2022. We have also formed multiple men's circles, events, and programs.
